Day 35
Bunbury

On Monday we were given a loan ute, so we could get around Bunbury and spend a day away from the truck yard.

Most of the day we looked around the area and picked up some geocaches on the way.  The first one was near the beach:

#2416 - Superhero #12 (Traditional Cache)

We had morning tea at the Back Beach restaurant:

From there we drove to Wyalup Rocky Point. The rocks provided an earth cache:

#2417 - Bunbury Basalt (Earthcache)

A short drive to the next cache:

#2418 - BY 171 Wyalup Rocky Point @ Bunbury Runners Club (Traditional cache)

And a short walk to the lighthouse and the next cache:

#2419 - Sage's Treasure Cache (Traditional cache)

From the lighthouse we walked to the lookout tower and climbed all 87 (or so we were told) steps.

At the next cache, which we didn't find we spotted a dingo walking around the parking area:

We found the Old Gantry Crane, but not the cache that it was supposed to hold somewhere in its inner works:

On the way back we picked up the last cache for the day, as it was time for lunch.

#2420 - Dolphin Cove (Traditional cache)

Back to Victoria Street in the town's centre, where we saw the figures below at a roundabout...

...and had a lovely lunch at Benesse Restaurant.

Still too early to return to Isuzu we decided to do an Adventure Lab Cache, which involves walking (or driving) to a number of locations where you answer a question before you go to the next one.  This one was about street art and worth the walk:

#2421 to 2425 - Bunbury Hidden Art (Adventure Lab Cache)

And that was just about all for the day.  We were getting tired, the rain started to set in and so we went to the shopping centre for groceries and back to the truck yard.  After dinner we watched Queen Elizabeth's impressive funeral.

Not much to report.  A day at the truck yard again, waiting for the part to arrive, a solenoid, and for it to be installed.  No luck though.  It arrived alright, but the mechanics still couldn't get the engine to go.  Hoping for better luck tomorrow.
