Sunday

For a few days we stayed practically 'at home'.  On Sunday I worked on my blog while Kevin and Brian went out to the city for 'an hour' to watch car races.  The 'hour' stretched into 4 hours or so, but they had a great time and Kevin came home with lots of video clips.

Later in the afternoon we tried to book a trip to Rottnest Island.  We meant to go on Monday, and tried to book, but we finally got a trip booked for Wednesday, with great difficulty.  Sometimes booking things online can be soooo frustrating....

We had happy hour with Brian & Meg to relief the stress! ;-)

Monday

Since we couldn't go out I decided to catch up on a few things and we started installing stuff on Kevin's new laptop, which he had taken on the trip.  Also not an easy feat, but we had the time for it.  In the meantime I did some more washing.

Tuesday

More work on the laptop and I went out with Meg to do some grocery shopping at Karrinyup Shopping Centre, a huge, new centre.  We got our groceries and a cup of coffee and went home again.

At night Brian & Meg took us out to Kings Park again for a view across the water to see the city lights.  A short drive through the city, across Heirisson Island, past the Crown Casino, back across the Swan River, past Scitech and back home again, to show us some city sights.

We had also received a phone call that our trip to Rottnest was cancelled.  We had indeed endured gale force winds, on Tuesday, so this did not come as a surprise, albeit a little disappointment. 

And it was bl.... cold :-)

Wednesday

And, as our trip was cancelled and we had planned to leave on Thursday we had some extra time on our hands.  Kevin sorted out a few things around the motorhome, to get it ready for the next stage, and I did the cleaning inside, tried to work on my mini baskets (but had to wait for Lidi to ring me back, as I needed help), and we played cards, to fill in the day.  Like the day before we had happy hour and dinner with Meg & Brian.  On Tuesday we had fish & ships, Jordan's shout for Dina's birthday, and yesterday we had pizza, together with Nol Cobbi, a relative of Brian's who came for a visit.
