As I don't want to write too much I just limit my story by telling you that during the first week we happily settled in by exploring the neigbourhood and later some of the neighbouring villages, followed by Torino the following Monday. The language didn't hamper us as much as expected, so we got around easily and managed to do all sorts of things, including our groceries shopping. On our ventures we also looked for geocaches, of course.
