Bunbury to Wickepin |
Enforced vacating of the motorhome, because they're actually working on it! The engine was running when we left. Music to our ears.
What better to do in the meantime than enjoying a cuppa while listening and watching the surf break. Very relaxing. 🙂 (It is more relaxing for us than what you hear on the video.)#2456 - Time goes by (traditional cache)

We spend the night at Wickepin.
Saturday 1 October 2022
A few impression of the town where we stayed last night at an RV rest area: Wickepin.
We stopped at Kulin for coffee, a dump point and cache. While Kevin attends to the dump point I do something more exciting and walk over to the cache. 😉
#2457 - Kulin Tin Horse Number One (traditional cache)
On to Hyden. This is a small town with quirky roadside metal sculptures. They all had an explanation and depicted a bit of the history of the town, but I won't bore you with all the details. Just a few of the pictures:
I finally got to see the famous Wave Rock. Worth a decent detour.
We both visited the bottom part, but Kevin declined the longer walk up top, so I did that by myself and met him later again in the carpark where we set down with a welcome ice cream.
A while later, when on the road again, we see some beautiful bushes along the roadside for which we take the time to stop and take pictures. Again! 😀
Ordinary pigface, but how beautiful en masse! |
Another end to a beautiful day. We're staying the night at Ravensthorpe at a free camp.
