Cocklebiddy to 13k Peg Scenic Lookout

A busy day involving a few caches and wildflowers.  The road does not look like much on the map, but we kept ourselves pretty busy.

#2466 - MOONARA TREK REST CAMP (Traditional cache)

It took a while to find this one as the GPS wasn't very accurate 200m into the bush.

And of course a few more wildflower pictures:

#2467 -  Madura Pass lookout (Traditional Cache)

And next the pictures of the Madura Pass Lookout itself.

Looking out onto the vast plain, stretching all the way to the ocean, which, by the way, you can't see from here.

Towards Eucla we descend onto the plain.

We stop at Mundrabilla Roadhouse for a quick lunch with some fried and fresh fruit and vegies before we cross the border quarantine station. Some fruit and vegies we cannot take across.

At Eucla: Fuel (getting up to $2.69 now) and an easy cache.

#2468 - WHALE WATCHING (Traditional cache)

The signs you see on these roads... 🙂

Crossed the border at Eucla and decided to camp here for the night. At the border the clock jumped 3.5 hours ahead! SA time zone plus daylight saving. So, afternoon tea, happy hour, and dinner in quick succession tonight. 😁 EDIT: we were let to believe that it was 3.5 hours, when in fact it was only 2.5! Later, when we had more time, we could work it out properly.

Happy hour with ocean views. Can't be happier! 🤩 The cliffs are dotted with motorhomes and caravans. Now waiting for sunset....
