A quiet day at home.

As we haven't seen all of Lake Tahoe yet and the trip can be done in a few hours, we decide to make the most of the nice weather and go for a drive.
We start at the south-east, as that's the closest to home and make our way up and around anti-clockwise.
We visit Cave Rock and the Memorial Point Scenic Lookout (or Overlook as the Americans call it).
We have lunch at the Tunnel Creek Cafe and work our way around towards Emerald Bay, which we have visited before. First stop there is at the Emerald Bay Boat Camp, the next one at Inspiration Point.
We're back home by 4pm.

Another quiet day in Gardnerville shopping for goceries and dropping into our favourite DST coffee shop for a cuppa.

In the afternoon Bobbie and George take us to Carson Valley Plaza, a big shopping area, but not under cover. We walk around and have 'dinner' at the famous In-N-Out hamburger restaurant. There's only one thing on the menu and that is just the one kind of burger. The only thing that can vary is your like or dislike of onion, so you can order according to your preference.
We walk through the plaza, have fun in the Dollar Tree shop and discover a drive-through bank!

Time for another road trip. This time we visit Sacramento and a few other places. We are staying at B&Bs of the Affordable Travel Club of which I am a member. Much better and much more personal than any airbnb...
We leave at 11am and stop for lunch at Morty's Grill and Food Truck at Camino.
By 2pm we arrive at our address in Sacramento and meet our hostess Marge. We chat for a while and then we go in search for a shopping centre where we can also find something to eat.
We play a game after dinner, but what kind of game I can't remember. It was pleasant enough though.

Tuesday 19 November 2019
In the morning we drive to Old Sacramento Waterfront District and visit the California State Railroad Museum. After that we walk through town and visit all the interesting shops. It makes for a great day out. We also have a look around in Fanny Ann's Saloon. At the end of the day we find a cache as well in this part of town.

After our return to Marge's place we spend the evening playing games and had a relaxing and fun time together.

After that we are on the way to our next adventure.
Around lunchtime we arrive at the Empire Mine State Park where we visit the mine and surrounding buildings.
We leave the mine at 3.30 pm and have a cup of coffee at Carolines Coffee Roasters in Grass Valley before we make our way to our B&B. Tonight we are staying with Dave & Janet who have kindly invited us to have dinner with them as well.
