Everton to Lilydale

Wednesday, November 19, 2014

I wake up at 7 am and Rhonda brings me a cup of tea!  Patricia woke up earlier apparently.  After a shower it’s bacon and eggs for breakfast again.  We’re being spoilt!

Unfortunately it’s soon time to go, so we pack up at say goodbye to Rhonda and Bob and leave at about 9 am.

We drive to Lilydale via Mansfield and even see beautiful Lake Eildon where we camped some years ago.  It’s a beautiful hilly area all around us. We top up fuel at Merton and have a cuppa at the picnic area next door to the service station (Merton Common S 36 58 38, E 145 42 40)

We arrive at Lilydale at approx. 11:30 am and have our left-over duck vol-au-vents for lunch while this time my friend Nellie and I talk about old times...

Later in the afternoon Adrian arrives and we all have a lovely dinner together, after which Nellie, Patricia and I go for a walk with Mollie, the dog, and search for a few caches.

The first one is a DNF, with a lot of climbing involved along a busy road.  So, I am not prepared to put more than a basic effort into this cache.  The second one is easy and actually discovered by Nellie once she knows what it is all about and how it works.  By the time we found the cache it was already rather dark, so they aren't wonderful pictures!

Before we go to bed we have a chat and coffee in company of Adrian and that was the end of another day...
