Caloundra revisited - yet again :-)

Friday, September 19, 2014

As the title suggests I have been out with buddy Heather again for a play-day in Caloundra.  However, I have quite forgotten to update my blog, so this is waaaay back in September and beside Heather we had another buddy coming along for the day: Robyn.

I will upload the pictures, but to save time and effort I will only give a brief description of the day first.  We started off at Toorbul where Robyn needed to re-instate her cache that we couldn't find last time and which had disappeared.  From there we made our way to Caloundra where we cached for the rest of the day with a brief pause for lunch at Macca's as usual.

Turrbal

Yes, the little black thing in the corner!

Jill's Hideaway

Enter the Arbour

Reach to the Arbour

Pick up the Path

Very cleverly built

Three Billy Goats Gruff

A day at the park - Rhymes and Riddles....

(multi)

Clever hide!

In the playground - a spot we don't like for caches

This one took us a while, because the coords were out

Hurdle

Perfect but fragile cache: a real turtle shell

The Outlook

King of the Mountain

Dear Liza (teamwork cache)

Literally a teamwork cache, because the water
spouted out on all sides

Be Afraid, be very Afraid

Yikes!

Rocky Road

Jackpot

(puzzle cache)

Almost the best cache ever...

Wesso's Welcome

Arroona Park

Juno's Treasure #2

Rocky's Chillout

Simpson's Rest

Lakeside Surprise

Yes, somewhere up there!

G.P.O. (Geocaching Post Office)

They don't come more perfect than that!!!

And that was it for the day.  The last cache was the most perfect and detailed cache we've ever seen.  So much effort has gone into this one.  I would have given it three favourites if that was possible.  Perhaps we'll have to start working with stars! ;-)
